Established since 1990, SOCOMEP’s laboratory provides a range of rapid food safety laboratory testing specialized to cater the needs of the tuna industry. Scope of tests done by the laboratory include:
- Heavy metal (Pb, Cd and Hg)
- Histamine
- Microbiology
- Salt content in fish and brine
- Organoleptic analysis
